  • Anyone know what this is called?

    Hiya

My friend has asked me to create one of these. I think they look fab but no idea what they are called, button scarf/shawl or something else?

Also after a pattern for one but I think I can create one from examining the picture.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks fellow crafters

I can see it now but I have no idea what it is called. Like it though. It would be easy enough to make so I might have a go. Now I wonder who I could give one to for Christmas??????.

I've no idea why it won't show on link so attached it again. It's like a long scarf that wraps round you and buttons onto itself, looks like a poncho? I've started a tryout one with 86 stitches using a 4 x 1 rib. I'll let you know how it turns out

wotsit seems a good term for it as I don't know what it is called either. Looks like a buttoned shawl to me.....

Or a 'Thingamy' but I still like it. I remember having something similar many years ago but you pulled it over your head. It was supposed to look as if you had a high necked jumper on under your coat.
