Does anyone know anything about this, apparently it is a form of knitting designed for children and people with athritic hands

I've seen it done. It's like giant french knitting - you use a hook to move the stitches over the loom pegs so I can see why it would be easier for kids & people with sore hands. There's some very clear videos on youtube if you fancy a look (sorry, I can't link yet!).

        Jenn,
Try looking at a website called the Fabric Depot in Portalnd, Oregon. they stock all sorts of fabric but I saw these looms there. They're between 30 and 60cm long with adjustable ends so that you can make the knitting as wide as you like.
