and also how do I heat it up to reuse?

    Hi,

The plastic will corrode, best to use a metal lid.

To heat mine up I use a one of those ceramic chocolate fondue things that you always get as a present at xmas, just use a couple of tealights to heat it.

Pickle can be safely kept in a closed jar.

A small slow cooker is one of the best options for keeping pickle warm during use, but if it's for occasional use, a baby bottle warmer or similar works well. A simple tea light style warmer will do the job as well (keeping the flame low and not too close to the jar).
