  • Selling to Galleries

I have been approached by a number of galleries lately to sell my jewellery.
I don;t really know what to expect, what sort of discounts they will expect, if I should go for sale or return, should I have a contract with them etc etc etc....
Any tips would be most welcome!

It can vary from gallery to gallery but my experience is that they will take your work and put anything up to 100% commission on it. You will need to sort out the price you want and what you think it will sell for. It is usually sale or return basis. Make sure you have some kind of list and something to the effect that if any gets lost or broken while in their hands they are liable to pay you for it.

Others may have different experiences and it m,ay be different for jewellery.
