Is there anything more satisfying than bashing metal ?

Yes definately...........................but I'm not going into that on the forum LOL Bashing metal tho' has to come in the top 10 most satisfying things to do, along with..........
* devouring Chocolate of all sorts
* going shopping for something specific and actually finding it
* getting your bank statement and finding that you have miscalculated your balance but it's in your favour for once
* reverse parking the car on the drivers side and getting it perfect first go
* painting your nails and getting them dry without a single smudge on them ( you just need time )
* getting a surprise from someone you love
* giving a surprise to someone you love
* taking your frustrations out on a punchbag ( not a human one )
* making a sponge cake thats flat !!!! ( any tips on how to acheive this appreciated )
* getting the last parking space in the carpark on a busy saturday

Sorry getting carried away now LOL

I don't really like bashing metal with hammers. Everyone says it's therapeutic but I just find it annoying. Guess I'm just weird!

LOL! must have been the mood I was in at the time, had had a row with a friend and it felt great to bash something!

this could be an interesting topic!

* seeing things growing on my allotment is satisfying, basically when the veg actually looks like a proper vegetable makes my day! (you get some odd looking stuff)
* eating a perfect creme brulee with just the right texture and the right caramel top
* an ice cold Mythos in a greek bar overlooking the sea.

but hammering is still good!

Would we ever?!

As for bashing metal with a hammer, I've not tried that since the days of metalwork at school. I do find completing any craft project very satisfying - though if I don't have another one to go to next then that can be coupled with a tiny bit of frustration. Hi MO. For a flat cake,, once you have spooned the mixture into the tin create a shallow dent in the middle with your spoon, if you use an 8" tin make the dent 4" wide and about 1cm deep then when the cake rises it comes up fairly flat.

Oh I do all that Hils, but the blasted thing still produces a lopsided bump with a crack in it LOL My Mum has always just thrown a load of ingrediants without weighing them into a bowl mixed it up and hey presto perfect sponges every time Grrrrrrrr. Maybe they are just not ment to be my forte and I should stick to fruit or carrot cakes, taste ok though LOL
