  • Size of bracelets and Necklaces

Probably another silly question from me but how much chain would I need to purchase for a necklace or a bracelet? I would like to buy some 925 Sterling Silver Chain which comes in 9" lengths, but don't know how much to order to start with.

    Thanks again

Hi there, and average size bracelet is usually 7.5 inches incuding the clasp, and popular lengths for necklaces are 16 and 18 inches. But keep in mind that people are different sizes so sometimes you need smaller or larger.

For example, we sell Sterling Silver Chain by the inch which helps prevent wastage. When you get around to ordering, just remember to make an allowance for the clasp to calculate the length you need.

Thanks for all that information. It is very helpful. Another question though? How do you go about stretchy bracelets? I tend to measure the circumference as measures change depending on the bead size, ie large beads give you a measurement however same number of small beads will give you a larger/looser fit bracelet.
            Any suggestions?
