Does anyone know how to assemble clip on earring findings? I've got these from Cooksons and they looked simple enough when I bought them:

I can see how they fit together but I'm finding it really fiddly, I'd appreciate any tips on how to do it

I've been meaning to make myself some clip on's for ages as I can't wear normal earrings (gutting for a jeweller!) and I want to show these off at a friends wedding this week.

    Hi Emma,
Basically, you solder the small 'upright' of the side with the holes in to the pad of whatever earring you're making, then fit the spring clip into the holes. Once the first piece is soldered in place, you have much more to hold on to which makes fitting the spring far easier. I've found the pad does need to be a reasonable size with this style or they can become uncomfortable as the spring is fairly strong.

I tend to only use this style for single stone set styles, and prefer the versions with a loop or ring easier for other designs, though they are a lot more expensive.
