  • Best wire for knitted jewellery?

Can anyone tell me what sort of wire is best to use for knitted and crocheted jewellery. The stuff I've been using seems quite brittle and I'm worried that, over time, the fasteners/clasps at the ends will just break off. In fact, any tips/advice on knitting and crocheting wire jewellery will be much appreciated.

The artistic wire looks good, although I'm still not sure what guage/thickness is best for knitting etc.

        Hi Poppy

I have used 0.8mm and 1mm wire to crochet with.

So far nothing has snapped mid making or broken while im wearing them.

        Hope this helps

Thanks Julz, I've used 0.2mm wire, so I guess it was far too thin!!
