  • Help with leather bracelet/wristband

    Morning All,
I have worked myself into a corner-not for the first time but this time I am totally stumped.
My OH suggested I make a 'cricketers' style wristband for his bro using hematite, his description was very dodgy as it turns out the ones they wear are on printed fabric straps with surgical grade magnets!!
Anyhow, I have made one with 2 strands of 1mm leather knotted either side of each of the 2 hole hematite bar type beads. All very well but now I can't think how to fasten it,short of tying the 4 ends together.
If anyone has some ideas I would love to hear them.
    Big Thanks

I think a good way to finish these off is to tie a loop in one of your leathers, and tie a bead onto the other end. It then works in the same way as a t-bar clasp, and with 1mm leather it shouldn't be too bulky.

Thankyou Celia, I even thought about it and couldn't get my head around how to do it!! That'll teach me to try and do things when I am tired!
Sanity (well my version of it anyway) restored.

I've been making leather necklaces and I'm using cord ends with either hooks or clasps to fasten them. You can get them in various sizes and price ranges - I've been using very inexpensive plated box folding crimps but I'm now moving on to sterling crimp ends. You just feed in the leather ends, squash with pliers and then add a clasp or hook to close.

          Custom Bracelets

Even with a small giveaway, custom bracelets and wristbands can make a difference. You can design and make your very own bracelet and wristband. It is best to avoid rushing into customizing just any bracelet. You need to know the different types of custom bracelets.
