is there a better way of oxidising silver lettering on PMC? I put the liver of sulpher in with a cocktail stick and when its dry use sanding pads to clean it, but it leaves a bit of a hit and miss finish where some are darker than others.

Go & buy Platinol from Cooksons and the only colour you'll get is nice n black
Other than that pop the LoS in neat then drop it into v'hot water to do the washing out and it will darken some more....make sure you wash both chemicals out well (or you'll be forever cleaning your pieces as they continue to darken).

ALternatively, just use a fine tipped sharpie marker. It lasts amazingly well for lettering and takes about 0.00002 minutes to do
