Chian Maille Jump Rings???

Can anyone help I'm trying to make a Byzantine bracelet for a friend of mine I have bought some Sterling Silver jump rings which according to the website are

"22ga (0.68mm) wire - strong put pliable"

but I have just tested my bracelet and snap it went - despite making sure all my holes were clossed properly.

Can anyone help me as to what I should buy and from where or should the rings work which I bought and it's just my skills need a bit of tweaking.

I'm after Sterling Silver as it's for a keepsake and I want it to last.

Sorry if my post sounds like I'm moaning but I've been diong it all day

I found it hard to find jump rings of the size i want in the wire size so now I wind and cut all my jump rings, but i also solder them closed.
