hair grips/clips

i suppose avoiding glue entirely would be a better way of doing it. what is the tiara method? is there perhaps a guide on how to do it somewhere?

I use a thin wire (say 0.4 guage)and start by wrapping around the grip a few times near the 'u' shaped end, bring up the end of the wire then thread on a bead/crystal, fold the wire back down and twist gently so that you get the little 'stems' you see on wired tiaras. Make as many stems as look pretty (you can manipulate them into the shapes or setting you want) and finish by winding the loose end around the other side of the 'u' shape as before. Just make sure there are no loose wire ends sticking out anyway (ouch!) and that you don't twist too tight or the wire will snap.

I've never used glue on hair grips - just used wire to attach beads (bit like tiara methods).

i would say E-6000 glue , it does glue most stuff and is pretty strong ...let us know how it goes

hey there

im looking at making some hair accessories for some friends of mine as a gift. just some simple bows and clips. the bows are easy enough, but the clips are more difficult. they will be your basic hair grips, with different things stuck on, such as flowers, pretty bugs, hearts, that sorta stuff. i was just wondering what the best way to attach them to the clip would be. im guessing glue them on, but what sort of glue would i need to use, as im sure just regular super glue and hair dont mix :P
