  • Anyone know a supplier of silver settings?

    Hey everyone
I'm putting together a new range at the mo and have been looking for silver settings. The pieces come out too expensive with the time it takes to hand make them and my usual reliable suppliers haven't got what I need this time, so I thought I'd ask your expert opinions

I'm looking for square (although round may be an alternative option) claw setting with a double gallery, any sizes up to 8mm diameter. The only ones I've found so far have been these:
    silverclay.co.uk/shfi.htm
(sorry had to get rid of the www as I've still not done enough posts to do urls yet!)

Which are great BUT it means I'm only stuck with the one size. They don't have to be fine silver, sterling's really what I'm after.

I never realised how hard it was to find cast silver claw settings until now!!
Thanks in advance if anyone knows of anywhere!

My first choice would probably be http://www.kernowcraft.com/products/jewellery-settings/ they have a good range.
    Otherwise try http://www.cooksongold.com/Settings/
Hope you find the right ones.

I agree - they were some of the first places I looked! But they let me down...Cookson has what I want in gold/platinum but not silver, and Kernowcraft don't have the normal settings only the snappy ones...thanks though!

You could try feliciasoriginals.com they have a large range of 925 settings, if you don't mind getting them from the US. I also heard a rumour that Domino in the UK who normally do gold and platinum are considering starting a silver range range so you could give them a call.

Thank you all very much - that's definitely given me some food for thought, and suppliers I've not come across before. Cheers!
