  • Can I have some feedback please.

Evening all, I have just uploaded some photos of my jewellery to my album, I'd be very gratefull if you could give me some feedback on it please. I have just picked out a few bits and I was thinkingof trying to stick to one sort of 'style' but not quite sure really (and I don't have much experience of selling at the moment), trouble is I like all sorts of beads so I think I would struggle to just do for example antiqued pieces
    All coments welcomed!

I really like the square pale blue earrings . . and one or two of the others as well . . but what I don't see is matching . . or nearly matching . . sets.

Sets of similar/same are a way for you to "upsell" your work . . quite a lot of people like to buy sets . . and a lot of those who were only going to buy one piece will often decide to part with more cash cos there's a set.

    Sets can be Pendant/Earrings . . Pendant/Bangle or Bracelet . . Bangle or Bracelet/Ring . . Earrings/Bangle or Bracelet . . etc etc . . and it's easier to do a series or style in sets.

Styles or Series can be a really useful way of getting yourself into a niche where they become popular . . and people actually look them out . . and it does help set your work apart from that of others . . unusual style or series names can be useful too in this respect . . especially if you are selling on the web where people can't touch or see the product in their hands

    Hope that helps
    Gloria

I think your jewellery is lovely, very pretty and a nice range of colours. I think you'll develop your own style as even though you like a lot of beads, I do too, you will end up naturally making things in a similar way, but without everything just being a copy of something you've already made IYKWIM. That way you'll have a range of items to appeal to a wider audience but still have your own style.

Thank you, if you were selling matching items would you sell them as a set or seperately? I have a few things which are matching (the grey foiled double heart drop necklace, and the pink/white lampwork necklace have matching earrings) but have been pricing them individually.

Your jewellery is lovely and the sparkles and pearls ones would make perfect wedding jewellery.

          Well done
I started off with nothing and I've still got most if left.

I price mine separately but give a discount if bought together. (but only if customer cant decide.) so price up a little so you dont loose out. you make a little more sometimes, a little less other times. evens out.

It looks very commercial, which I mean as a compliment!

Ya . . I agree entirely with that . . it's what I've done in the past and it defintely works that way.

                    Gorgeous

I think your pieces are all lovely...
Don't worry too much about focusing on a type of jewellery, I think that limits your market... and you don't want to do that
                    Much love,
                    Deb
