  • I'd like a necklace

    Help,

I'm interested in buying a necklace, it would have to be silver coloured (not necessarily silver) or perhaps beaded and at least 60cm long, that's the easy part,

now the hard part, at the bottom I want what I can only describe as a cluster of little treasures, charms and beads etc of different lengths. I have seen some in Claires and I think Roxy on Eastenders has worn something similar. Ive also seen one with a cute little Russian doll charm on it amongst crystals, beads and silver coloured charms (butterflies etc).

I'm sure some of you lovely forum members have also shown something like what I have in mind.

I can't promise I will buy one, but if anyone knows the sort of thing I am talking about and can perhaps give me some idea of price I would very much appreciate it.

    Thank you all.
    Diane

Hmmm.... nothing like that in my cupboard right now, but I do have some plans for 'sweetie' themed necklaces banging around in my head!

    Good luck!

See now I hadn't thought of that!!!!

It would have to be autumnal colours, browns, oranges, reds with perhaps a bit of jade/green (the dark jade)

I wouldn't want masses on the bottom as don't like things too heavy or large looking, perhaps 3 inches long by 1.5 wide. I know this sounds an odd way of describing a cluster, but I really have no idea how many items would make it up.

Sorry not much help am I (that's why I do mosaics and not jewellery!!!)

I will try to find some pics from somewhere

you make a small chain, so the chain would be 3" long and then you hang off what every you like from it and it all jangles together, i love them

I have made a couple similar to the second picture before but on a silver snake chain rather than cord. I had a heart on the end with quite a few pearls/crystals/beads hanging off a chain above it. Seeing the picture has inspired me to make another one, do you want me to send you a pic once its finished? No worries if it isn't what you are looking for as I can pop them on my stall (last time they both sold at the first fair they went out at).

Thanks Rhiannon, Gbell is going to make me one, but if you are going to make one then I would love to have a look as I might just be needing another one, you know what it's like with jewellery!
