  • WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH Adult Jewellery HELP!!!

My cousin is having a rednose day champagne and shopping evening which I am having a stall at, but she has asked me to sell some stuff for the mums too, I am sat looking at my beads and findings and I have no idea what ladies like.

I am aware my own tastes are seen by my friends as slightly "alternative", so help..... I still have time to buy a few beads if I need to...

    Deep breaths....

Maybe make lots of things in red.
Maybe do some far out pieces and some simpler daywear pieces.
I do understand its tough to let go of your own tastes.I have to keep reminding myself that just because I dont 100% like something Ive made doesnt mean no one else will.

Ive just had a look at your work and its fab.I reckon adults will like cherry pendants.
Try looking at a site called something like dollydagger.they are a retro clothing site where the accessories are colourful and look like they are for youngsters but grown ups buy them.

I find that if I make something and I dont like the finished item it sells first. odd but there you are.. I like your rose necklaces maybe you could put some onto a charm bracelet along with some facetted beads..
Hope it goes ok, and dont forget to enjoy it....

When I read the title of this thread I wondered what you meant by "adult jewellery". I have to confess to being a bit disappointed!!
        Best wishes

lol when I saw the title I expected rather risque adult jewellery as well...

Go for simple things such as chain or ribbon necklaces with a crystal heart on or mum and daughter matching memory wire bracelets , and maybe some simple drop earrings

I find it hard, if not impossible, to make stuff that i don't like myself tbh. As has been said already I guess making some stuff in red would be appropriate. Current trends seem to be for longer and chunkier "statement" pieces. Think big and bold!!!

Whats the point of making something you dont like. i think every piece you have to like or break it up an start again!
elastic bracelets can be made for adults too just glass instead of acrylic.

the jewellery you make is lovely, just make it a bit bigger/longer with different beads. its not so different. you may enjoy it and it might open up a whole new market for you. hope it goes well
