  • Pays to wear your jewelery

Wore my valentines earrings that well I made for myself but hubby wrote me a lovely poem. My DD teacher saw them and commented. Of course this allows me to say I made them. Took some of the jewelery I made to show her and am now resizing a bracelet as it was skinny teen size and changing ear wires to sterling silver. Also have to make her the earrings I am wearing lol. So at least £18 in sales yay.

      well done
I always wear my jewellery when i go out to play poker and i've had quite a few orders from it
I always wear my own stuff at craft fairs too, sounds an obvious thing to do but it does help

Well done, and now of course you have word of mouth from one person to another, great!

It pays to keep business cards handy too, as I cant walk around with a keepsake box on my head, although I could try it. lol

Nice! It's such an easy way to advertise and you should want to wear your own stuff, right?

LMAO!!!! I'll say that too then, as no one's asked me either. I wear mine all the time too. With pmc/acs it's practice pieces, but some I should be selling I can't bear to part with.

                        I keep trying though, lol.

Well done you, and everyone else who's got sales this way. Just shows it can work.

I try to wear my own stuff as well, I've always got a couple of my rings on and my wedding ring of course!
Just decided to make a brooch for myself the other day so I can wear it on anything, I think brooches are great for getting peoples attention.

Congrats on the order - it does pay to wear your own stuff.

When I have very fine straw I make Corn Dolly earrings (without the ears) - someone once asked me where I had the gold ones I was wearing (it was nice straw) - then asked me to make a pair for her.
