I would think they mean things like adjusting pieces rather that staring from scratch, adding and removing a dangle orchanging the length.

Stylists can be fussy buggers so I would take your pliers and some bits in case.

Online The Bead Shop in Nottingham have a large range of clip on earring findings in silver and gold plate, don't know if they deliver next day, but they are usually very fast. They are very friendly and helpful and I'm sure if you asked them they'd despatch quickly for you. Tel 0115 958 8899

Oooh lucky you. If you go there and are a bit of a beadaholic, you might want to pop into Buffy's Beads, top (2nd) floor of Kingly Court, entrance almost opposite Creative Beadcraft, they have some luscious beads but they are a bit pricey. Good for drooling over though
