We buy sterling ring blanks which we stick gemstones onto. OH has made a few wirework sterling rings but he doesn't have the time to do them recently.

I am going on a PMC course this week - snow permitting - and will be making silver rings in the future..... whether good bad or ugly ones I cant yet say

I make them! The two latest ones i made were male sterling silver chuky rings, but can order thinner wire easily (d shape, round, flat). Single stone, double, or cluster, and ive started making amethyst/garnet flowers. I think it's worth using sterling silver as it's more hardwearing.
I wonder if most people know their ring size?

You need a ring sizer, or pop into a jewellery shop and they should be able to measure you.

I was thinking of doing a ring sizing by post service, just remove the finger you want to know the size of and post it to me. I’ll give the ring size by return, after allowing of shrinkage due to drying out etc.

I think there ‘s a flaw to this plan but I can’t put my finger on it,
