  • Pearl Cab?

I've been asked to make something involving an 8*10mm pearl cab, but have never seen any anywhere so dont even know if they exist! I've tried googling it but didnt get anywhere! I'm guessing from how they are formed its probably not possible, but if anyone had any thoughts that would be really useful!

    Thanks!

Are we talking real pearl, imitation or mother off pearl?

If you can find the right size and shape a half drilled pearl or stud earring pearls may be suitable. They are usually have a flatter back (where the hole is) than beads.
Most of them are round though and not oval.
You could probably find a mother of pearl cab that size quite easily.

What you are looking for is called a mabe pearl. Usually made up of 2 parts, where the bottom is domed and not flat, but not as domed as the top
