I'm feeling quite pleased with myself cos this weekend I took my first order of this year. (I say first, hopefully that's the right word!)
When we first moved to our new unit on the market last summer a pregnant lady was admiring my pearl and swav creations (very basic stuff) and asked if I had more. Naturally I went into my sales spiel about them all being handmade to specific requirements, colours, sizes, discounts blah blah blah. She took a card and said she'd be back after she'd had her baby as she was getting married this summer.
Yeh right!
But she did come back and placed an order for 4 sets of the lower grade potato pearl sets for her bridesmaids (mega profits in those as I bought a big wholesale lot and got them very cheap) and she wants the "good" pearls for her own set. All together, It comes to more than £250.
50% deposit was paid so now 2009 looks like it might not be a bad year after all.
