    It depends where you are going to sell, if to family friends and work colleagues about 12 pieces, then either take orders or sell and restock. If at a fair you don't need to swamp the stall but need to have enough to make the display look good (suggestion try this at home first on a 6 X 2 area) then have replacement and backup stock in other colours/designs in case someone says 'I like this have you got other colours.

    This rule of thumb really applies to any crafter starting out, sometimes better to start small test the water also ask for feedback re colours, designs, what they would like to see etc.

      I'd say you need at least 20 pieces to make a decent display. I probably have well over 100 pieces on my stand including rings, bangles, pendants, earrings and cufflinks. It sounds like a lot but it doesn't look that much on a large table. It really depends on how you display it.

        I think it depends on what sort of items you are making??
        If you are only making 1 or types, then maybe try to sell a few to friends or work etc then try some other things too!
