Im finding my love for copper again and i am making a few items. When it comes to copper earrings is it still better to use sterling ear wires or should i use copper ones.

I bought lots of copper ear wires, I assume they are ok for the ears, otherwise, why would they be selling them?

Or use niobium or titanium - both are hypoallergenic and come in copper and bronze colours.
If you decide to use silver, try adding a copper bead and coil on the earwire to help blend the two metals together.

Hmmm... I'm surprised. I'd have thought that bare copper would tarnish to a dark brown, and would also turn you green. Uness it's lacquered, but the problem is usually that the lacquer chips off when you work with the wire...Cheers,

As George suggested, anodized Niobium is a good way to go.
Or look for copper finish earwires. Rather than being pure copper, they are plated with a copper finish that matches the copper jewellery, doesn't turn ears green and also complies with the EC nickel directives (well, mine do - can't speak for other suppliers of course)Emma

It depends on your skin type. Some people onlu have to look at copper and their skin turns green. Others can wear it all the time with no green marks.
