Been lurking about as I am planning on using my birthday check to buy Jewelry making supplies and tools. Less then a week till I can buy and then will have to wait for my parents to come for Christmas before I get my things. A bit nervous as spending $100 in America and another 14 pounds in this country on what I want.

Mainly interested in making rings and also some earrings. So exspect many questions from me.

Yes the only problem is I keep finding other things to buy by reading through people's threads. Just added a bead board. Not sure if I should also mainly interested in the rings side but my husband loves his guy jewelry so might come in handy.

Thats the thing with this jewellery making I find,there's always something you didn't know you needed until you come across it on a website/in a shop or someone else mentions it. Oh and I never seem to have enough beads although I have a mountain of them already.

Like this forum it gets very addictive! Hope you enjoy buying your new tools and supplies.

Welcome Debbie! Are you in the UK or USA? I buy loads of stuff in the States, Walmart, Michaels and Joann Fabrics all have fabulous beading stuff at very reasonable prices, especially compared to the UK. Walmart do wonderful toggle clasps and pearls and all so cheap!! I always come back loaded! Only 26 days till I go to my American home! Selina

I am American but I live in the UK. My husband is English. Been here 8 yrs. I have 2 children both born in this country. Plan is to be in the US for next summer but not counting on it at been saying we are moving back for 4 yrs now.

Well if you're ever in Florida and want somewhere to stay I have a villa there which I rent out. Like I say every time I go I buy hundreds of dollars worth of beads, they weigh a lot when you have that many!!! Selina

michaels is my favourite place on earth!!! like a GOOD version of hobbycraft i get lost in there for hours everytime i visit canada and get loads of my stuff there. my mum is there at the moment for a visit so sent her with a long list

My only problem with Micheals is they don't give prices on website. And I don't know if my parents local Micheals carries the item I am looking at as it is a rather small Micheals.
