Hi Flutterbyboo, I bought this ages ago so there will be a lot of "I thinks" in this, I think it's called E6000 and it comes from America but I think I bought mine from Stitch n Craft who seemed to know a lot about it including use in a well ventilated room etc.
Hope that helps - KarenMy Website - www.lavidalerie.com

Hi.
I use GS Hypo cement, it dries clear and is specifically for jewellery and can be used on semi precious stones, it also does not react with the surface or damage it in any way. I got mine from ebay for 4 quid including postage.

We make allsorts of stuff with gemstones and the only glue we use is E6000. We've always bought it from America but today Palmers Metals were at a bead fair we attended and they informed us that they stock it.

Araldite. 24 hour is slightly better than fast drying and I've stuck loads of thin strips with bails to the top of heavy gemstones with both without any problems. I've been using it for 13 years, so can certainly recommend it
