  • What are they called????

I dont know what these things are called and i need to buy some. I think they might be end caps/beads but i cant find the ones i need on ebay. I have 3 strands on a necklace and id like to feed them through something at the end. The ones i have before were plain, silver palated, domed and had a kind of scalloped edge. Very plain. Does anyone know what im talking about????

Do you still have one? Maybe jewellery with one on? Could you upload a photo?

thread three strands through, crimp and close the cover, then add your clasp? Are they called.......

          calottes?

sometimes called calm shell findings too I think (calm shell, that'd be nice, I meant clam!)

          Hope that helps

I think you mean callottes as well.

Before you use them, they are open with a little metal hook on one half. You thread the tigertail in put a crimp on the end and squeeze closed the callotte over the crimps, turn the hook into a loop and attach clasp etc.

I've seen them called clam shells, callottes and bead tips.
