  • Hair Combs?

Hi, anyone know where I can buy small plain haircombs approx 3/4" wide. I'm adding a swarovski crystal and pearl haircombs to my bridal section and have difficulty sourcing these. I have had no problem getting the larger combs 3" wide.

Also if any of you have made these before, is plastic or metal better?

    Appreciate your answers.

    Cheers

I made a small one for my friends tiny head last year. I just used wire, and twisted the wire for the comb teeth, and then wrapped them around a thicker twisted wire and attached the flowers/crystals to that.

      Hi Carol,

Thanks for that. I've tried making them myself but havn't quiet mastered the professional look. I've made lovely 3" ones using plastic combs and I'm happy with the result. I now need smaller one to compliment these.

      Anyone else any ideas?

Try beadinspired.co.uk Its called Tiara Store Accessories
They have a selection of metal combs but Im not sure they have ones as small as 3/4 inch. They used to have a small plastic comb that I liked using but I cant see that on the website either

          Hi Dizzydiza,

No they don't seem to have small ones. I'll keep looking. In the meantime if I find them I let you know.

If anyone else can be I'd be grateful.

          Cheers

Are these any good? They measure 28mm x 16mm so a bit larger than what you wanted but still only just over an inch.

I also found these from one of my fave US suppliers but these are about 1 3/4" long.

They are exactly like the ones in the link to Beadaholique. If you put combs into the search box then they come up.

I use this company quite regularly (both their website and ebay store) and they are great to work with and don't rip you off with postage costs.

Thanks for the reply Lesley, unfortunately that's not the size I'm looking for. I have the smaller one that they sell but what I'm looking for is a comb with only 3 or 4 teeth!

                      Many thanks

                        probably a little late......

....but I will post the information anyway.

I came across these hair combs whilst looking for some information myself, and thought the site might have something that fits your requirements...

More accessories can be found here: http://www.tiaramaking.com/Hair%20Combs_shopping_1.php

                        I hope this helps.
