I'm just starting to make my own earrings but I don't have the same taste as everyone else
I love novelty earrings - I have loads of pairs but my latest are monopoly hotels, small dominoes , small pegs and small records
I've made myself a pair of earrings using charms I bought in hobbycraft one is a red shoe and one is a red handbag where can i find something a bit different to make into earrings

I stock quite a few pewter charms: guitar, dog, cat, a pirate and a fairy, to name a few!

You could use letter beads and create words? I don't sell any yet, so just a thought.

I've been looking at your site earlier you've got some lovely bits on there
I did think of making earrings that say hobby on one side and craft on the other and wearing them to work ( I work in hobbycraft lol ) but did think people might think I was sad lol

I'm an avid buyer ( and finder ) of unusual charms
Have you looked at dolls house items?, the food is especially cute and can easily be made into jewellery ,so you could have a couple of trifles hanging from your ears!
Another popular type is the gumball ones, the little plastic toys you get from gumball machines outside of shops or little kids toys such as the polly pockets are becoming very popular

I really like the memory wire bracelets and have now discovered they do memory wire rings which I like the look of
how do I know the rings will fit and what sort of beads would I use to decorate them seed beads ??

I'm exactly the same Sunrise, soon as I make any money I go on a bead splurge,my house is awash with beads and charms...half of which I forget I have.

the cards are bad enough and they will definately always be my first love lol but I am starting to quite like the beads which is a bit worrying as apart from earrings I'm not really a jewellery person
we've cut back recently due to hubby changing his job so I'm thinking of making some jewellery as christmas presents

Making for Christmas is an excellent idea and people always love to recieve handmade jewellery and even for those who don't wear any you can make beaded bookmarks and phone dangles or bag charms (I'm glad I'm not the only planning for Christmas in August,lol)

how do I make phone dangles do I just buy the dangle bit and add a charm ???
do you know anything about the memory wire rings how do I know they're going to fit I'm assuming they're a one size fits all type of thing
my head is spinning with ideas of things to make now

For the phone dangles you can buy the whole thing called a phone lariat then you simply add a jump ring and your charms or beads of choice
A memory wire ring fit all , they simply expand to fit your finger , the same with adjustable ring bases ,these you can buy with a flat base for glueing a flat backed bead called a cabachon on or you can buy a charm ring base that is flat base with loops on to which you wire your beads or charms onto with head or eyepins.

Seed beads are indeed best for memory wire rings, big beads don't really fit. You can do just plain seed beads or once you're done, attach something on top like a nice button.

Phone dangles are so easy and quick to make - always makes me choke when I see them at £5 in some shops!

You can also make keyrings, equally easy to make.

The hobbycraft earrings sound fun - you might just get customers look at your ears twice!
