Does anybody know why the US spell jewelry differently?
            Same for gray, color etc.

            I would've thought English was well....English lol

Alot of the American spellings make more sense than our outmoded English ones!
Languages evolve, and rightly so. We should move with the times and adapt our language the same way we adapt anything else to fit our lifestyles.
..... but I must admit, I stop short of textspeak!

If you are British, you should be spelling things using Oxford English, so that's colour, not color, grey, not gray, neighbours, not neighbors..........

Has anyone noticed that craftsforum.co.uk uses American Spelling?

When I was at Uni in Australia, you could choose which language to use, as long as you were consistent all the way through. I chose English English, rather than American English.

                  Joolery!! lol

                    lol

I know there are peeps here from all over the world, I was just stating that the British should speak British, not criticising other people for not using British - ooh, except the spell checker on this site, that should be British English, being a .co.uk (I would have thought)

I agree. I like the finesse of the English language and not the American bastardised version.
