  • Jewellery stands

I've changed my packaging yet again so I want to get new display stands for jewellery parties, craft fairs etc.. I'm going to buy the wire frame counter spinners.

I'm just wondering if anybody knows where to get these, or if anybody has any to sell? I have seen some on ebay, but thought I'd check here first.

Also I'm going to sell 10 of my acrylic necklace displays, they've hardly been used. If your interested please PM me. I understand this isn't a selling site, but thought I'd offer them cheaper to someone on here before I put them on ebay.

    Thanks
    Sarah x

I don't always like to recommend overseas website but i don't know a uk based one that sells resonable priced display items. have a look at fire mountain gems, I have bought a few bits from them and found their delivery times to be better than some uk suppliers. Don't be put off about buying in dollars you are getting about 2 $ to the £ at the moment and i used my debit card with out any problems.

even if you decide not to order anything else appy for one of their catalogues. They are free - even uk delivery is free, and offer quite alot of inspiration.

    Have look

I've basically cut down on my packaging and instead of giving out gift boxes with every order, I only do for £1 now. As I had visions of people just throwing the boxes in the bin, wasting my money and with all the news about the environment now, I didn't want to be adding to this.

I've designed and made hanging tags for necklaces, bracelets and earrings and cards with slots in for rings.
It makes my life easier too.

Those are nice, Im new to the thought of craft fairs so how much to necklace stands cost?

The packing sounds ideal, i use organza bags with cards, tissue paper sprinkled with little silver stars and i punch a hole into my business card and slide onto the tie of the organza bag!

              I've PM'd you.

              You're packaging sounds really nice.

I forgot to mention I also wrap the item in pink tissue paper with a muddle label and black ribbon.

But if they spend an extra £1 they get a white gift box with muddle label, tissue inside and ribbon wrapped around.

I'm just trying to be more cost effective, even though I've been making jewellery for 18 months, I'm still learning now.

Just a warning - if you buy more than £18 (pretty sure that's right) of any product from outside the EU you can be hit with VAT & import charges...I've been caught out once or twice and the charges can really sting (i.e cost a lot), especially if Royal Mail or UPS are handling the delivery...Fedex is the cheapest I know of.

But Chris is right - firemountain gems are worth a look, although it'll take you a few days to have a look at all their products .

I've also ordered from a company based in Ireland who offered really reasonably priced jewellery displays, but can't for the life of me remember the name...I'll have to try and dig it out sometime :S

                            Hi there

I have ordered from Firemountain Gems and had to pay £35 tax for it to get into Scotland. In the end it sort of cost me a lot more than I had expected. I thought I was getting a bargain...NOT!!!!

mmmm made me think and im not so quick to chuck my hard earned cash away!! Its a real bummer that everything cheaper seems to be abroad.

                            maiden xx

Well I looked at the jewellery stands on that website and found the same ones on ebay, brand new only £9 plus £5 postage. It came today, it works really well, its like I have my own portable shop.
