I've been interested in getting a kiln for use with PMC, but I don't have hundreds of pounds to spend. Does anyone know whether I can get something cheaper [under £100] that will still do the job?
To be honest, it's unlikely. At best you could get a second hand one maybe locally or on ebay. There's also the microwave kiln option-ickle biddy kilns that you put in your microwave (try creativeglassguild)- they might be ok for pmc but I have heard that they're not too sturdy.
I think as long as the pieces you're working on are quite thin then you should be able to fire them with a torch but I get the impression it takes some practice!
