  • Handkerchief vases - Glass people and flower people!

Hello all glass people!! I know nothing about glass I'm afriad (other than it's very pretty!)! But my sisters and I are thinking of getting my Mum a handkerchief vase (she said she likes them) - does anyone know a good place to get one or do any of you do them?

    Caroline

P.S Does anyone know how we could go about ordering flowers for the year - we were thinking of having one bunch a month but not sure how to go about it - interflora doesn't have an option for this etc...

i haven't seen any new ones for sale recently but there are a few vintage ones on ebay.
As for the flowers could you arrange something yourself with a florist that is local to her.

      Hi Caroline,

You could take a look at warm glass uk links page, they list some amazing glass artist's. www.warmglass.co.uk

I'm sorry I can't help as I have only experimented with fusing not slumping! This will change in the future but for now try the links page.

      Good Luck

I'd love to do something like that (if i could find the time and money!) and I think you're not too far away...tell me more!

I did find some sites online, some time ago, who do monthly deliveries but they were really expensive and the flowers were sent through the post. What about chatting to florists, who are local to your Mum, and getting some quotes etc?

            Hi Caroline,

Yes I do do courses for basic glass fusing and making jewellery. I now book these on a demand base, so if you want to have a go just pm or email me and I'll send you some info.

This also goes for any one who would like a go based in the south!!
