I've been thinking about this myself recently.....perhaps you should consider setting one up and making some money from it.......

but I don't know of any in Lancashire either. Maybe Bea does?

        Hi

I think there's one Blackpool but it's knitting (can't remember exactly).

Did you think about checking Oswaldtwistle Mill? Topaz crafts organise events at the Mill every now and again. There is a Paper craft shop in a Mill in Burnley (only been once) and they might know, if you don't ask, you never know!

Otherwise, can't really think of anything. One of the craft mags I buy has a ''private'' ad section and that's the type of stuff you could ''advertise''.

I am sure there are lots of crafty people out there though!

It didn't even cross my mind to check Oswaldtwistle Mill - another excuse to go visiting I think!!! I wasn't even aware that there was a paper shop in Burnley - it isn't well advertised! Can you remember where it was - or even what other shops there were - I have a friend who knows lots about the area - more than me anyway!

          Thanks

It's in a Mill in an old building (in Burnley) - I can't find it again but they sell sheets of paper like Papermill shop and lots of card making stuff. Unless it was in Nelson, it's towards the end of the M65 I think. Sorry I can't be more specific... It's at the back of the building, which is a bit like Ossy Mill with parking in front.

Hiya, Hope you don't mind me butting in. I live in Preston and there is a craft shop in st johns arcade at the top of the market. Sue (the owner) holds card making classes of many types and its easily accessible.I can give you directions etc but only by bus, im not allowed to drive yet.
Also, cadcraft plus has classes but you'll need to phone them up for details. I worked there for a while and they were really good. I can also give directions to ossy mill (its where Dawn Bibby has here shop) bye for now Shy .x

I think the shop you mean in Burnley was in Barden Mill. It was House on the Corner, but they shut down a while back according to a friend who lives in Burnley.
Heavenlygirl runs a craft club at her shop in Chorley and does workshops and 1 to 1 classes covering a wide range of techniques. Check out her website for details of upcoming workshops. (Not related, but a regular shop customer - can recommend as she is very helpful.)

Have you tried Blackburn and East Lancashire Friendship Centre as I do know they hold different types of events, it can't hurt to ask if they have any craft group events listed for this year.

Just google: Blackburn and East Lancashire Friendship Centre

                        Chorley Craft Club

                        Hi everyone
Just came across this thread. (I'm new to this and am having a great time finding out the great things you do).

I am going to start 'Chorley Craft Club' in September this year. We will be running once a month (to start) and each month there will be a demonstration of a different craft and a chance to 'have a go'. Rather than concentrate on one we thought people would like to try their hands at different things. Maybe you are good at some crafts but would like to try something new. There are a group of us 'Charity Crafters' who knit sew and make items for various charities and we feel it would be a great idea to raise the profile of various crafts. So if you know of anyone in the area who could give a demonstration on their favourite craft I'd love to hear from you.

                        Cheers

There's a shop on Bacup Road in Waterfoot Rossendale runs card-making classes. I would love to get involved with something as I've moved back to Lancashire after 11 years in Bristol but cant really demonstrate my craft as I write poems.

                              Hi
That sounds great. I really don't know how it will work at the moment, but just felt someone should try. It would be great if you could come along and give a demonstration one month. I will keep in touch. Thanks again.
