  • Waterproofing

Hi there, I’m new here 😀 I’ve made a project out of driftwood and pallet wood, it has acrylic paint decoration. I’m looking to hang it outside in the garden- any suggestions for waterproofing without impacting too much on the colour of the wood or paint?

    Many thanks

You could try PVA glue, I have sealed wooden pieces with it, it dries clear but I've not done it over paint so try it on a test piece first.

Nothing is going to waterproof it for life. Yacht varnish should help but will need renewing as any lacquer would.

Thanks for your suggestions I'd seen the yacht varnish and will give it a go!
