  • Fabric Stamping - Best place to buy ?

Hi, I'd like to buy some stamps (alphabet) and fabric ink/ paint but haven't got a clue what is considered the best quality to use.

Can anyone help me source the stamps and ink please?

    I can't remember whether I've asked this before ?

Can you use just normal rubber stamps that you see on Ebay etc.

    Thankyou muchly
    x
    Laurie

        and this one ~ http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=8560

I love my little alphabet set from hero (linked somewhere on one of those threads!) I would test it on different fabrics first though and pre-wash as the ink can run.

tilly, i'm after an alphabet stamping set, not to do on fabric though, it's for on paper and card (labels, tags etc), there are some for sale on etsy, and i've also seen this, (still can't do links, not posted enough yet!), it's on amazon, called melissa & doug alphabet stamp set, £13.99 but it has both lower and upper case letters.

don't know about ink, can't help there.

raspberry (blog) had some rubber stamps made recently, a custom order through etsy that were really nice, a little logo and name ones.

Thanks LK - I'll check these out. I'm changing tack a little bit i.e. away from 'toys' as the 'Standards'/ Safety issue is doing my head in.

I'm almost there with self certification but I've lost a bit of interest. I've got 3 bunnies cut out all ready to go but can't find the enthusiasm to get on with them at the mo.

So, I'm experimenting with some Non-Toy designs. I'll blog some when I have done a few. Mysterious eh ?

                Sounds exciting

Did you find the links for the versa fabric ink pads? You can get them off ebay quite cheap.
Can't remember where I got my stamp sets from, as I've had them for some time? But most craft shops sell them.

Good luck with your new idea - can't wait to see it =D
