  • please help.. kiln advice

My grandaughter has developed a passion for pottery at school.

I have the option of buying a Potterycrafts P5180 Kiln. It is old and some of the bricks are broken and I think most of the elements need replacing.

It is a front loader and came from a college art department a few years ago, I don't know whether this huge kiln would be worth restoring or safe putting to use for a 12 yr old and her friends.
The kiln fires to 1,800 C whereas most kilns I have come across reach only 1,300 C.
I don't have any instructions or manuals and have been unsuccessful when trying to contact the manufacturer for information.
    Any advice gratefully received.
    Thanks

Hi- get in touch with Kilncare. They repaired one of mine last year and were very helpful. They'll be able to tell whether it worth restoring or not....you can google them.
