  • Lettering and alphabets

    Hello All...

i'm new to crafting and I was wondering how people manage to get the lettering and words on the front of their cards (not the rub ons and stickers etc...) but the ones that look like they've been cut from card etc...

Do they print the word off from word or is there a machine/template that one can buy that will do lettering/cut out the letters ready to be decorated and attached?

    Many thanks.

    Best Wishes,

    Hi Emma,
a die cutting machine will cut letters out for you, they can be quite pricey and there are so many around offering different things for different crafters,
I have several but my fave is the cricut.
Go on ebay and type in die cutting in the search and have a browse.
    Vendi..Verdi..Visa...
    I came..I saw..I shopped

As well as die cutting you could also buy ready cut chipboard letters and decorate them with papers etc.. there are so many options!!

There's also some dry embossing boards (where you dont need a lightbox, you just "feel your way") on the market that have the alphabet on so you could emboss em then cut em out

Enjoy whatever you have a bash at

I have the cricut and it's great for lettering. It will cut anything in sizes 1" to 5". You do have to buy cartridges for it if you want different fonts but they are cheaper than alphabet dies. I personally find i use the cartridge it comes with for most things
