  • Are they putting something in the water...?

...Because all of a sudden I have had a spurt of ebay sales!!! Leading up to Chrismas sales were quite slow, with the odd mirror selling, but since xmas I have't listed anything on auction and just kept my shop open, as with decorating the house and getting ready for the future move I haven't had time to do anything else. But then on Saturday one sold, then another on Monday, then another yesterday and now another today!!!

Don't get me wrong, I'm really pleased, but also surprised as with nothing on auction, you'd think it would mean less sales, as its harder to find my shop??? Let's hope it keeps going this way...might not bother with auctions if it does!

I've had lots of eBay sales too, although my stuff is completely different to yours, I sell mainly charms & findings, so, maybe people are just staying indoor & tinkering on eBay, lets hope it lasts!!

I have been de-stashing and there is certainly a lot of interest in the Yarn I have put up for Auction. I will see how my Etsy showcase goes on Saturday and maybe look at the whole Ebay thing again on Sunday.

Would you recommend a shop rather than just doing the Auctions?

It could be that people are sorting out their houses with it being new year and are looking for gorgeous mirrors!

I would recommend a shop - when I started, you got the first month free (usually £6) and you just paid for your listings. So I figured why not, worth trying it to see how it goes. It got really busy for me about 3 months in, especially with made to oder items. Sales have been steady since then - at least one or two a week which isn't bad considering my items are higher priced ones, plus I work full time to I find it hard to manage if I get too many orders!!!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments!!! As it happens, one of the ones that sold this week was a square yellow, orange and white mirror, so looks like they might be the in colours this year...!
