Half term was last week here!
In the past I've had the children chalking the path (only inside the garden!) and making shadow clocks on the lawn with stones.
This week was full of rehearsals and one of them even spent several days at school playing flute! (dedicated teachers for you!)

Only 1 person gets half term break in my house, and that isn't the small child who had another full day at nursery, though she did draw lots of pictures today.

We like drawing, painting models (of dinosaurs mostly), painting pictures and lots of glueing and sticking at the moment. I'm sure we'll be more adventurous when there is more time

Another idea is to make worm colonies.

This is how to catch the worms

This is what we did this afternoon with the grands.

We made 2 but one seems to have disappeared somewhere.
Wrong glue but hey, who's looking.

I don't know!!! so sadly I can't explain. the only thing I think it might be is that when you add the photos url, there is a little tick box under it and I always remove the tick.

I seem to rememebr doing paper mache and sicking bits of newspaper onto a ballonn with wallpaper paste. When it dried you burst the balloon and you have a nice vase or you can cut them in half and make masks Also making felt toys is great fun. You can have endless fun with plasticine as well.. Another one was making little chicks by wrapping wool around a cardboard ring and then cutting the wool with a pair of scisisors when it is nearly in the middle. You attach 2 of these ball together, sew on some feet and a beak and then you have an easter chick.
