  • CE'd

After a long journey I now have a huge mountain of paperwork, photos and a burnt monkey to show that I am at last CE cerftified and therefore legal for my sock monkeys and my rag doll.

I shall have to undergo the same process for my other designs, but I can now put the monkeys into production.

I shall be shameless and ask if you'd be kind enough to "like" my page.

Leave yours behind and I'll return the favour.

Congratulations. Went through the same process with electrical goods in a previous life so I sympathise with you. You've been liked via FB.

Congratulations. I admire your patience in sticking with it to get through all the bureaucracy.

Isn't it horrible - pulling your lovingly made toys to bits (or hopefully not but you can't unburn something)?

        But well done.

PS How did the burning go? Did you get a flame or did they smoulder. Did you treat the wool or not?

Well done. Now you have completed the journey once the others should be a little more hassel free I would think. So worthwhile. Heres wishing you many many sales.

My doll smouldered and self extinguished The clothes burn at a rate of about 4mm per second well within the limits.

The doll design was a felt haired one. I've not done a wool head yet.

Good grief thought you had some dreadful disease for a moment. Well done on all your burning efforts to achieve your CE

Wool is wonderful stuff - it self-extinguishes beautifully once the flame is removed from contact. Woollen aprons are by far the safest to wear when cooking over an open fire, for that reason.
