Hi there, have you tried your local Trading Standards as they would be able to advise you?

Found this link on here too:

You might want to visit the candle forum here as it's full of lovely, helpful people. The link that Liz posted also has loads of information.

I think Public and Product Liability insurances are essential and you should add safety labels to the candles you sell. These are available pretty cheaply, by the roll.

Finally, test and keep records to show that your candles behave as they should.

Okay thankyou foy your reply 'bigbirdlittlebird' I'm going to contact them about handmade soaps and bath products so i can ask them about candle at the same time. Also i will check out the link you posted. Thankyou very much!
Thankyou for your reply 'MarionT' I will go and try to check out the candle forum, Yes i will definatly look into Public and Product Liability insurance. I was just going to print out my own basic safty labels but if i get them by the roll it may look more professional. Yes i will make sure i test them.
Thankyou so much both of you, you have definatly pointed me in the right direction, much appreciated!

Pleasure! Good luck and enjoy the candle forum - it's so helpful.

ps by all means print your own labels - the bought ones aren't particularly fancy. If it works out cheaper than go for it!
