  • trying to get into twitter...

I’m trying to resurrect my twitter account having hardly touched it all year and I’ve found a lot of the people I used to follow aren’t on there anymore! My feed is just cluttered up with people posting constant links! I’d like to find other crafty people to chat to again so if you have twitter let me know your username and I’ll follow :-) (I’m @birdcagecreativ on there if I remember right!)

You will prob. find that if members on here have a twitter account it will be in their signature.

Thanks Critchley, I wasn't sure if there was a central list or not rather than trawling through everyone's posts :-)

you can use services like tweeter karma to sift through your followers and those you follow.

No. Sorry. There is a members list but it does not advertise twitter. I have never been on twitter.

            I'm on twitter - https://twitter.com/EJRBeads

Although I tend to be one of those people that annoy you as I only really use it for posting links or re-posts of the stuff from my facebook page.

For some reason I've never really gelled with twitter enough to use it for chatting. I keep meaning to make more of an effort with it. Lately I've been playing around with Pinterest and breaking my brain with that, so I am not sure i can handle learning the ins and outs of twitter properly yet!

              Hi Abi

I'm another that isn't a fan of the twitter accounts that only try to sell - don't get me wrong we all need a bit of that but it is nice to think you may be interacting with a person

I agree - I just don't really know how to use twitter to chat. It doesn't seem to make sense to my brain.

Facebook is easy for me to "get" - and have conversations on. The same with forums like this. But for some reason I don't really ever know where the conversation is on twitter or how to really get stuck in.

I also find the whole brevity of messages too stilting to have a proper conversation. Its a clever concept, but I find it restricting when it comes to conversation flow.

Hi there - I'm always happy to chat !

The best thing you can do is to create a 'list' on Twitter and add just the people you actually want to talk to (or are interested more then others). You can have as many lists as you like - which is quite useful (crafts people, customers, business advice etc.). Just keep them locked, if you don't want others to follow your loyal customers (or something like that).

Good luck and I'm off to follow you !
