  • Food for thought

Just been doing some write ups(dont panic Mr M)and been looking at the thesaurus as I do many times as i need help with interesting adjectives, and I was looking at brown and noticed words like chocolate and coffee.
I found as I was writing I was salivating.
I reckon id buy anything if the descriptions were food based!

I believe this is an idea I will try to use more often.

I describe my brown/cream mirrors as 'caramel' - I don't know if it's this description or the colour that people like but they do sell well!

Worth giving it a go, I ordered a long knitted cardigan coat thingy yesterday and had the choice of two, one was described as Chocolate and was just plain brown, and the chocolate one won!! Us women will do anything for chocolate!!

I think you are probably right - if something was being sold as chocolate or brown would probably go for the chocolate one (even though they are exactly the same colour).

          Cheers.

Yep, go for the interesting words!!

It also helps when knowing exactly what the colour is like (the shade). Brown could mean anything, but caramel, well, its got a bit of yellow in it so paler!!!
