Really happy that joining craftsforum has helped as I hoped. Found out how to start a blog.
Now to work out how to get followers.

First, keep blogging. Even if it feels like you're talking to nobody at first.

The try a few of these:
1. Put a link to your blog in your signature on here. You can't link within a post (yet) but you can have a signature link.
2. Follow a few other bloggers
3. leave comments on other people's blogs. They may well comment back and follow you too.
4. join in a few linky parties - try Handmade Monday on my blog for starters. You'll definitely pick up a few followers and some views and comments.
6. Link to other blogs in your sidebar

Hope that helps. It does take time and patience to build up a blog but it's definitely worth it.
