  • Where can I get...?

Magnetic backing for making magnets and also sticky back foam to make stamps? My new craft book arrived today and I go REALLY excited about other crafts despite my current under construction wall deco flowers

Most good stationers will sell printable magnetic sheets and most craft stores will sell magnetic strips or pads. If you can't find sticky backed things you can always buy adhesive sheets or ezmount - again any craft store should stock these. I love your enthusiasm...it leaps off the screen...have fun!

I have seen magnetic tape, would that make magnets do you think? Im not so sure I trust tape to be strong enough to hold ANYTHING up!

My other half took an extra shift at work today so I can't get to the craft store till monday now
On the upside I can get on with my wall flowers .

        Thanks

Your wall flowers (on your blog) look lovely, I'll bet they will look great festooned around your apartment.

Not sure about magnetic tape - I've never used it...I guess it would depend on the size and style of magnets you wanted to make?

For small magnets ( think stick to the fridge door type items) depending on the style and weight of the finished item, I use either a craft magnet (they come in squares, rectangles and circles of various sizes and you stick them to the centre back of the item) or good quality magnetic sheets which are used at the base/backing.

If I get the chance I will try to pick up some magnetic tape and see if that works...it'd be cheaper for sure... If it works I'll let you know...

The magnetic tape we sell is quite thick so I'd imagine most is like this and not paper thin like 'normal' tape. I know some of our customers have used it for fridge magnets successfully if that helps any.
