    Hello Helen
Well done - it's nervewracking opening up an Etsy shop isn't it?

Get some more items in your shop asap as the pendant looks a bit lonely.

    Good luck!

Looks lovely! Good luck with your shop! (you may want to describe the colours a bit as pictures can be deceptive)

As others have suggested, get some more stuff in there (lots of sellers report that they get further sales once they get over 60-70 items (and more) in their shops.

Don't forget, you can't just sit back now! Go and join some teams, get involved in forums, make Treasuries, comment on other Treasuries - just get involved to get support from other sellers. Then go get yourself into some circles as I have found this to be the best way of encouraging sales from people who are on Etsy to buy. If they don't know you exist they can't buy your stuff!

        Good luck!

It's great once you get started is'nt it, like the others suggested list some more items the more the merrier, after all etsy is really cheap compared to other online listing places. Make the most of it! Add yourself to some circles, start some treasuries, go liking other shops & hope they return the favour! Just get yourself on there as much as you can
Good luck im sure you will do well!

Thank you. How does liking other shops help you on etsy? Also what does circles mean?

I am totally new to it and are trying to understand the way it works, thank you

Favouriting shops and Circles on Etsy - here are some quotes from Etsy discussions:

Circles - "I see this question posted often here in the Forums. I had an experience with the Viral Exposure from Circles yesterday that I wanted to share.

Yesterday afternoon an etsy member added a couple of my items to their Favorites.

My Activity Feed went wild.... within a half hour I had 12 shop hearts, and over 40 item hearts. And the exposure is overflowing to today too. I also had 2 custom orders come in through convos here at Etsy.

I went back to check on that First person who added my 2 items to their Favorites... and they have been added to over 1,800 Circles..... so the minute she added my items to her favorites over 1,800 people saw them in their feed....."

Circles are more beneficial than Favourites but obviously it's about attracting new people to your stuff and shop via someone else and here's how I use Favourites - if I see a shop that sells stuff similar to mine then I check their Favourites - then because you can usually see what those people like if they seem to like stuff similar to mine then I add them to my Circle. Always go looking for people (not necessarily someone with a shop either) who has a large circle (see the above quote).

Getting involved in the discussions can add send others to your shop and your blog, but it's people WITHOUT shops you want to attract, people without shops are the buyers.

SEO is also important in attracting people randomly Googling - I haven't made enough posts to add some links yet but PM me for links to some great SEO advice that I have also applied to my main website and that I'm still working on.

Good luck on your shop but make sure you go into overdrive with the social side and blog join cirles and get on the forums. Etsy has about seven million sellers so if you don't want to get lost in the crowd feep blogging and joining in trhe forums.
