  • I have a brand new glue gun...

... which I am itching to use, do you have any tips before I start. It will be the first time I have ever used one.

I also have a question, I will be using it initially to glue fabric to fabric but can I use it to attach metal to fabric ie, on the back of a brooch?

Make sure when you use it that the glue is really hot. Dripping out of the nozzle hot. If you don't it's adhesive qualities will be far less. I use one to hold tings onto the lathe sometimes when turning so it really does grab but only if hot.
I don't know of anything it won't glue but I am sure there is something out there. Never tried it on Teflon LOL

I agree with Pete - they do stick more or less anything, but the heat makes a real difference.

My best tip: don't let your fingers get in the way. It hurts, and you'll invent a new dance.
