  • A Sad Decision

I have recently come to the decision that I just don't have the time to sell my cards anymore. I was struggling to balance orders and setting up my little business with my work and personal life and it was beginning to become a burden rather than a joy.

I have canceled my hosting and stopped designing the site which made me rather sad. I am quite at peace with my decision and, to be honest, feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders!

I have decided to keep a personal blog with all my crafty exploits etc on though and have moved home to a new blog. I didn't want to keep the old one as felt a new start all round was in order.

If anyone wants to come and keep me company in my little corner and follow me then I will be happy to see you and follow you back (I have more reading time now!) My new home on the web can be found at : http://www.yummygenius.typepad.co.uk/

I am also looking forward to having a go at some more elaborate projects, trying out new crafts and learning new skills.

All in all i know it's a good decision, especially as I have applied for a new job which is quite high pressured. It's still a little hard though, almost as if I've failed before I fully began

    hey ho...onwards and upwards!

Must have been a difficult decision Jo but I am sure you know best. Good luck with the new job. There will always the opportunity to go back to it if and when you want to.

So sorry Jo, but you will always have you skill and talent to resurrect in the future if the time and place is right for you again. You haven't failed just put things on hold as you have other priorities. Good luck with the job application.

Sorry you have had to make such a difficult decision Jo but quite often the best decisions are the hardest to make. Good luck with your new job and as everyone else has said, you can always pick up on your crafts again in the future.

I took a break from crafting for over 10 years before starting it up again.

Without the pressure, you will probably find that the crafting you do do will be much more enjoyable. I will nip off to take a look at your new blog...

Well done on making a tough decision. I think it's a shame when some you enjoy doing becomes a millstone so if you're relieved, it must have been the right decision for you.

Obviously now was not the right time for you to be doing this, but as others have said, you won't lose the skills and can return to the craft business in the future if you feel the time is right then.

Jo, I am viewing this as a vacation from full time crafting whilst you polish another aspect of your life. It will always stand you in good stead and I am sure you will have great fun learning new and different skills.

And your followers have just doubled!

Thank you to each of you And you are right...it will always be there for me to go back to should I wish to (never really thought of it like that)

Thanks also to those of you who tried to follow me...Typepads Follow Me thingy hasn't worked (i think it is a 2 step process) so I have removed it. I hope you will stop by every now and again though I shall pop by each of your blogs later for a bit of a read and to follow etc...it's great having the time to do this now!

                      Thanks again!
