  • Fill in your forms!!!

Just friendly advice that I give through gritted teet.
If you get a NI exemption form, fill it in and send it off ...or you get a bill saying you owe us a small fortune...like I just received.

Don't worry to much about NI..

I forgot to pay it a few times and really worried as on the back it goes on about how you not get loads of stuff in the furture like sick pay or pensions etc...

As long as the pay the right amount in the end that it.. My mum had to pay more that she had to, to get a full pension.. Its known as topping up ...

I received a reply-they say I ant claim it back til next financial year due to time restrictions!
I was going to just leave it but my dad rightly pointed out that they get enough money from us as it is, so I will claim it back.

But the other letter I sent helped as I am exempt from type2 insurance contribution til 2010.

I did the very same thing, got the NI exemption form to fill in, forgot about out (hey what's new) and got a bill in. I phoned on the IR and told them what had happened. They were great, filled in another form and was told to disregard the bill. I made sure I took their name though.

            Cheers.
