  • Men!!!

So there i was in my little zone crafting away when hubby and mates decide to have an impromptu poker match ( proper testosterone fest, belching loads of noise etc). I asked them repeatedly to keep the noise down, fat chance! i got a little upset and slammed the door and then my largest shelf fell off the wall ( hubby sucks at diy) all of my beads, glitter, glue, paint etc etc covered the floor much to the blokes amusement. To make matters worse hubby says to me in a patronising voice " Oh dear sweetheart has all your tat fell on the floor?" TAT??? I picked up my pliers and told him i was considering inserting them into an orifice of his, needless to say he apologised and made a sharp exit. I then spent 2 hours sorting it out. Mind you on the bright side its all very organised now!!

Blimey, I wouldn't want to upset you. That pliers thing is making my eyes water at the thought of it.

Ooh, that must have made you see red (it certainly would me!) I think he was just trying to show off infront of his mates but I bet he wishes he hadn't tried that now! I guess getting things more organised was the silver lining but I would have probably slung the pliers at his head followed by a steady stream of beads so there would be a lot more mess to clear up!

I am sure he will think twice before trying that particular tactic again!!

I say get these men doing some knitting and crossstich. Its only English men that behave in this manner. Could you imagine a Frenchman, Italain, German Swede, Japanese or Australian carrying onlike this.

Tat? At least you can spend his winnings - it's only fair! And as for men who do crafts, then they are going to like tat as they will see the benefits of it. I probably would have been threatening him with castration by pliers rather than anything to do with orifices if I was that annoyed. There is no need for the loud belching etc and he'll be picked on by his mates for a while to come now he's been told off in front of them.

Oh and I can imagine it happening in many parts of the world. No one is perfectly saintly and after watching Laddette to Lady there are Australian women out there that would act in a similar fashion to your man.
